Crowned with wisdom and given the knowledge of what a godly pastor should do to fulfill Gods purpose for His church, In 2005 God clearly spoke to his heart and gave him a vision. God gave him a vision to meet people at the point of their need, with selfless and fervent love, without judgment so that God may be glorified through Christ Jesus. Through this vision, Praise and Worship Church of God Outreach Ministry was birthed.

Pastor Ronald L. Newsome Sr. is a Norfolk native born to Ms. Hattie B. Newsome of Ahoskie, N.C. Along with his sisters Estella and Mary they were raised in Norfolk being well known in the community. Pastor Newsome is a devoted family man and with his beautiful wife Sherryll Meng Newsome, together they have nine children.

With humble hearts, they both have a great love for Gods' people and ministry. First Lady (Min. Newsome) puts her hands to work wherever they are needed. At any given time this Leading Lady can be found working in the House of God from the parking lot to the pulpit.

Pastor Newsome never forgot where he came from, nor how broken and hurt he once was. Pain and poverty has caused him to be passionate towards Gods' people while delivering the raw, unadulterated Word of God "there is hope in the Kingdom of God through obedience to God".

Pastor Newsome's vision is to be a church that moves beyond the church walls, seeking the hurting and the lost, meeting people at the point of their need, realizing that we must reach the heart, in order to save the soul.
